This book is a must-read for those that feel down or broken all the way down and feel they will never get back up. It can be applied socially, economically and mentally/spiritually. Minister Abdul Sharrieff walks us through how he was down on all the levels, after being on the highest level Nation of Islam service as the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s Supreme Captain which is equal to a President's Joint Chief of staff and head of the Secret Service. He used the council received from the Minister - "Brother, down is not out, down is preparation for up" - which helped him endure the hardship and trials he was going through.
Each chapter deals with a key principle that he uses to advise the reader on how they can apply when down. Also, the chapters begin with a verse from the Bible or Holy Qur’an and end with a quote from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan's self-improvement study guides and include questions the readers must answer, making the book very unique.
In the chapter titled "Take Charge," Mr. Muhammad writes "when you are down, be more prayerful and study the word of God. Go somewhere, get quiet and God will answer. After you pray, get up off your lazy butt:) and go to work."
